Aztec Tattoo Designs - What You Need to Know Before You Get an Aztec Tattoo Design

The world of Aztec tattoo designs is a very tribal and important one indeed. What you need to know before you get an Aztec tattoo design is that permanence and creativity walk hand-in-hand. As the Aztec Indian tribes of yesteryear taught their troops right before a battle, patience, permanence and being creative on the battlefield are very important goals and should be held in the highest regards before and after and even during the battle. Sadly the Aztec Nation is just a distant but vibrant memory that was permanently erased from the Earth.

The History

Since tattoos have been around for many centuries and have been used for so many other reasons that go beyond aesthetic quality, it is important to understand the ancient tribes known as the Aztecs. The Aztecs adorned their bodies with tattoos much as we wear decorated dresses and business suits today. The Aztecs lived in the area of Mexico in North America. The popularity of their tattoo designs has never been as high as many individuals are really getting to know the Aztec culture and the creation of tattoo designs for the gods of their culture. The designs that are Aztec are also functional and helped to define a person and their well-known characteristics. Aztec designs shout-out volumes without speaking a single word.

The Culture

Most of the symbols that are taken from the Aztec tattoo designs symbolize eagles and the sun. For centuries the Aztecs ruled that part of the world and gave us some of the most beautiful and interesting Aztec designs. From the wild game that the Aztec people hunted and lived upon, to the gods that were in the heavens and all around them in their natural surroundings, the Aztec design department is a very busy one these days. Known for both beauty and supple quality of nature and fluidity of living within nature and within one's own means, the Aztec heritage and culture is one of the most interesting and beloved of all. Many individuals today lament the loss of the Aztec culture and wish that they could have done something so many centuries ago. Yet, there was nothing that could be done, as fate was called upon.

Meanings of the Tattoos

If you choose to wear an Aztec tattoo, then it is best to research the meaning of the Aztec design symbol that you may put on your body. A great example of an Aztec tattoo design is the Aztec Thunderbird. Many celebrities as well as sports personalities and the common person sport this tattoo of a winged creature and do so with both pride and respect for the Aztec culture. Some of the most important design translations to know before you start to select an Aztec tattoo are that these symbols mean something, all of them. You must do your research and select one that is not just known for its aesthetic beauty but also has a deeper, more personal meaning to you. In this way you will not offend the Aztec people who are still on the earth and you will be seen as a respectful person.

Girl's Side Tattoos - Design Ideas For Sexy Side Tattoos For Girls

Receiving a tattoo is already a painful experience for most girls but getting a tattoo on the side of the body is a far more painful spot to get inked upon. There are no other locations for girl's side tattoos in which the pain is as incredible as on the side. Just imagine the times where you were either slapped with a rolled-up towel that just caught you on the inside of the side or when someone pinched you there. Now multiply that a few hundred times and add some burning sensation like 10 to 15 bee-stings at once and there you have what it feels like to have a girl side tattoo inked up job.

Painful Side Area Tattoos

Since the side of the human body is made up predominantly of bones this is why getting a tattoo there is so painful. Since there is hardly any fat protecting the nerves in the body when the artist begins inking into the side you will know it. If you decide to go with this blindsided philosophy of girl side inking up the side philosophy then good luck and make sure that you take a painkiller before you go in.

Butterflies Flowers

Some popular side tattoos for girls are ones that include feminine designs such as butterflies, flowers, stars, constellations, boyfriend names, baby names, earth wind and fire, candy-bars and zodiac signs. The most important person who will see this girl side tattoo will be the one wearing that so keep that in mind at all times. Most girls are heading over to the masculine side for side tattoos and this includes getting pictures of their boyfriends or husbands and even photographs of their children on their right and left sides. We all remember the day when we saw that first girl who had that middle of the back stamp that was a Gothic lettering and a sweet artistic rendering and looked so cute! Today we have the girl's side tattoos that we can gaze upon and when asked to see when you're in a bar or club for the girl will be almost curious on what your reaction is as she lifts up her shirt just a little bit. You know what we mean you guys out there!

Open Free Canvas Area

What are the best things about getting the side tattoo for a girl is that there are plenty of air and space to do just that at! The artist who has to do the work will have no problem in finding a clean and clear canvas area in which to elicit your wildest dreams and fantasies upon your skin. In the end some of the best tattoo designs for the side include the ones that almost wrap around the entire body and show both the passion and commitment to being inked-up. One of the most favored style side tattoos to get if you're a girl on her side is got to be the now-famous hands.

Koi Fish, Cherry Blossom and Lotus Flower Tattoos - The Full Story on Japanese Designs For Women

Just about any style Japanese tattoo seems to currently be hot. Tattooing trends sure change from year to year and in the past few years that has been a real rise in the popularity of Japanese tattoos. Along with the rise of tattoos for women these seem to be two of the biggest trends in the market and two trends that are starting to combine. There are many women, girls and females out there that are getting some pretty pink Japanese tattoo designs inked on themselves including big Japanese sleeve tattoos, large back pieces and even more delicate and cute leg, hip and rib designs. So what do these designs mean and what is the symbolism behind them anyway?

While the symbolism behind any tattoo is not a hard or fast science that the symbol always means just one thing there are some common understandings that can be used. Symbols mean different things at different times and to different people. So what once was a symbol of something that is bad might now be worn as a badge of courage and so on. However these are some of the more common Japanese tattoo meaning for popular designs that women would be most interested in.

Koi Fish Tattoos Symbolism

Koi fish have been a very deep part of the Japanese psyche for thousands of years. Even today there is hardly a temple that does not have a small koi pond filled with these majestic fish. The original lore probably came from China but has been handed down for so many thousands of years that Japanese now believe that it is always been there own. Anyway the koi fish is believe to be a powerful, strong and independent fish. The story goes that this fish swims up stream against the current (thus is why there are often drawing splashing) and if they are strong enough and have enough power they eventually reach the highest gate and once they pass through it they become a dragon and fly up powerfully into the sky.

The symbolism for most Japanese is one of strength, power and being true to one self. This is something that works well with many women today who want to strike out on their own and feel their own power and independence.

Cherry Blossom Tattoos

The cherry blossom has always been a very deeply symbolic and important flower for the Japanese also. In fact it is probably one of the most important symbols within the culture. The samurai warriors used to write poems and dedicated works of art to capturing the essence of the cherry blossom. In fact in many ways the samurai thought of the cherry blossom as a symbolic of their own life. The cherry blossom comes out early in the year when it is cold. It is very beautiful but also short lived and will soon fall from the tree. So the samurai also believe and felt about their lives they has to live there life everyday like it was their last without any fear of death. Thus many have heard the popular saying that a samurai would wake up in the morning and say to himself quietly today is a good day to die. This was not meant as a death with but as a life wish to live life to the fullest. This has carried into the symbolism of tattooing also and is equally popular along with the koi fish design.

Lotus Flower Tattoos

Another popular symbol in Japan and actually throughout Asian is the lotus flower. Religiously speaking the lotus flower held great significance historically in India. The power, symbolism and influence of this flower travelled to Asian along with the religious system known as Buddhism. Many believe that the lotus flower best represents the journey of life. The flower starts as a delicate bud down in the bottom muddy part of the water. It slowly pushes to the surface reaching for the sun and then once it hits the top is blossoms into a beautiful flower. This has been symbolic of the journey that every person must go through as they gain enlightenment. Thus you will often see lotus flowers in many religious art works but also it has become a very popular symbol for living life to it's fullest and striving.

Tattoo Instructions For Creating the Perfect Tattoo

When your goal is to learn how to be the best, you can never find enough good, solid tattoo instructions. It seems like every little tattoo tip, every new idea or innovative thought may be just the thing to take you to the next level. It is precisely this kind of drive and motivation to learn and grow that will help you reach your goals.

Here you will find a few of those tips and innovations that can help you perfect and hone your skills.

The tattoo instructions included here are just suggestions, of course. Every tattoo artist finds his or her own groove and determines what ideas should be implemented on a daily basis. Of course, we can't all discover every new technique on our own, so by offering these tattoo instructions, we're just giving you a little food for thought.

You're invited to try these tips out on your own. Keep the ones that work for you, and leave the rest behind.

Use the Right Machine for the Job Most professional tattoo artists actually use more than one machine, and it's even likely that they will use multiple machines on one tattoo. This is because different machines are equipped for different purposes. Each will have individual tattoo instructions that define its purpose, but there are some general guidelines that can help make sure you are getting the most out of your equipment and therefore creating the best possible tattoos.

An 8-coil machine, for example, has less power and is better for tattooing with smaller needle groupings. A 10-coil, therefore, has the power for larger needle groupings, and a 12-coil can handle even larger groups yet. It's important to recognize that a 12-coil isn't just a better machine than an 8-coil. Instead, it is designed for a completely different purpose.

If you're doing a tattoo that includes very thin, medium, and very thick lines all in one design, you may find that you use all three machines one the same client in one day.

Tattoo Needles In order to create perfect tattoos, you need to be using the best equipment. To get the highest quality and to protect your clients' health, always use brand new needles out of the package. Use a jeweler's eye piece to examine your needles up close. You want to ensure that they are not bent, that there are no pits, and that they're not all scratched up. Once you're satisfied, sterilize them and keep them protected until you're ready to get started.

Your needles are not completely out of harm's way just yet, though. You need to be very careful when placing the needle bar into the needle tube. You do not want your needles to touch the sides or bump anywhere within the needle tube, because they can get damaged very easily.

The final major obstacle comes when you dip your needle into the ink. Even though it's easy to get distracted by what you're doing or by talking with the client, you need to pay attention so that you do not touch your needle tips to the bottom or sides of the ink lids.

Tattoo Inks When you create a tattoo, it's really the ink that is left behind to be admired. Everything else you do is a matter of delivering the ink in the safest and most effective way possible. There are hundreds of tattoo instructions that can be issued about inks used in the industry, but we'll just take a moment to point out a few important aspects of working with them.

There are a number of companies that produce tattoo inks, and each has its own recipe for mixing pigments and various carrier fluids. For this reason, it is probably the best practice not to use different brands of ink on the same tattoo. You want to use inks that are going to have similar properties, and it's too difficult to predict what will happen if you mix and match.

Most professional tattoo artists recommend that you begin with the darkest inks needed for your tattoo and work your way into the lightest colors. This is because the darker colors will obscure the lighter ones if applied later. Some artists insist that if you're careful, this isn't much of a concern, but it's definitely worth taking into consideration when planning your approach to a client's design.

Black and Gray Tattoos

Some people will tell you that THE way to make yourself stand out as a tattoo artist is to truly master the ability to do black and gray tattoos and tattoo shading. We could offer all kinds of tattoo instructions when it comes to just this one topic, but here are a few of the hints and tips that many people find the most useful.

--There are four basic options when it comes to gray. You can purchase one of hundreds of gray tones from a distributor, you can create your own grays by adding varying amounts of white to black, you can dilute your black ink with water to lighten it, or you can lighten pressure and move your hand more quickly while using pure black in your needle tip in order to get a lighter appearance of your black ink.

--Outlines are not necessary, especially if you want more of an airbrushed effect, but they can look really, really good on black and gray tattoos. Because these tattoos are monochrome, you need to find other ways to get contrast, and using different sized outlines can create a wonderful effect that makes the whole tattoo pop.

--If you want to keep an area blank (often representing "white" in the design), you can use a bloodline to mark off the area. Use a needle with no ink to draw the line that delineates the negative space. You can then tattoo up to that line while making sure you don't cross it. The bloodline will disappear in a few days.

--When doing a fill, start with a small area and then wipe it to guarantee you're getting full, even coverage. If the area is spotty, you need to use smaller circles or slow down. If it is getting chewed up, you need to move more quickly and check to make sure your needles are not damaged.

It's impossible to sum all the nuances of the art of tattooing in one place, but these tips and ideas should give you some good suggestions on how to perfect your designs. Implement them as you continue to practice, and you will find that the quality of your tattoos will improve, as well your clients' satisfaction.

Just a few little tattoo instructions can make a big difference in the long run.

Religious Tattoos

The idea of religious tattoos may seem counterintuitive, for several reasons – not only is tattooing prohibited by some religions, such as Orthodox Judaism, but until recently, tattoos were associated with a vaguely disreputable counterculture that seems at odds with religion.

The image “http://www.freetattoodesigns.org/images/religious-tattoos.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.
Religious Tattoos

However, religious symbols – Christian, Hindu, Buddhist, Islam or otherwise – are actually quite common tattoo designs. It might surprise you that about 25% of all tattoos in America have a religious meaning

Porsche 911, The Living Legend

When one thinks of Porsche cars, it is usually the Porsche 911 series that comes to one’s mind. The Porsche 911, the most popular and enduring model of the Porsche cars is a sports car. Since its introduction in 1963 by Porsche AG of Stuttgart, Germany, it has undergone continuous change and development.

The Porsche-designed Volkswagen Beetle served as the basic model for the design and production of the Porsche 911. Beetle was not a success and so, Mr. Porsche and his son, using parts from Beetle developed the 365 Roadster, a sports car. The 365 Roadster was a success and it gave way to the Porsche 911.

The Porsche 911 was actually launched as 901 in 1963 but had to change the name to 911 as another company had copyright on all three digit car models with a zero in the middle. Mr. Porsche himself had designed the body of the car. It had air cooled and rear placed six-cylinder engine and could go up to 60 mph in 8.3 seconds. It was a great success.

The Porsche 911, from the time of its inception, has been modified both by private teams and by the factory itself to meet the needs of automotive competitions like races or rallies.

Some of the popular variants of Porsche 911 are:

  • Porsche 911 classic (from 1964 to 1989)
  • Porsche 964 (from 1989 to 1993)
  • Porsche 993 (from 1993 to 1998)
  • Porsche 996 (1999 to 2004)
  • Porsche 997 (from 2004 onwards)

The rear engined Porsche 911 is famous for its distinctive and durable design. The whale tail and the round headlights of most of the Porsche 911 models serve as the distinguishing styling cues of Porsche. This distinctive design is still adorned by most of the Porsche lovers. The Porsche 911 is a living legend.
